I don’t know how many times I’ve heard people say that the money is in the list. And, I’ve paid for many products in the past (sigh) that promised to teach me everything I’d need to know to have a successful list. Needless to say, I was not always impressed.

So, when I  got the opportunity to review Jimmy D. Brown’s List PROFIT System course, I thought “Oh, here’s another one of these.”

Now, when I review a product, I always try to give an honest review. So, in looking at this course, is it worth the money charged?

Absolutely. It’s worth that and more.

The five bonuses are pretty great. I mean, you get to ask Jimmy any question at all about list building within one year of buying the course. Seriously, how much is that worth on its own? I’d pay a heck of a lot more than the money he’s charging for the course just for that.

Are there any negatives? Honestly, I can’t think of any. Jimmy kind of has a cold during the recording of the audios, so the recordings aren’t perfect quality. How’s that for a negative? (I tried to come up with one!)

My review of this product is.. for this price it’s kind of a no-brainer for anyone interested in having a successful online business.

• If you’re a newbie, you NEED this course.
• If your list is already rocking, you will still find some valuable nuggets of information.
• If you’re in the middle somewhere you can absolutely benefit from this course.

I’ve been on the Web making money since 2000. I’ve subscribed to and unsubscribed from many newsletters/ezines in that time. When all people want to do is sell me expensive stuff that doesn’t work or is nothing new, I usually opt out. These days, I’m only getting (and reading) ezines from a handful of internet marketers. I tend to gravitate to those with ethics who also offer nuts & bolts information, at reasonable prices.

Dave Bullock is one of those marketers. I enjoy his ezines, because they tend to be very brief and to the point, just like I like them. I’ve bought quite a few of his products. They are generally step by step and offer exactly what the sales page advertised.

You may have heard that building Google AdSense websites is the way to go in building your online home business, and I don’t disagree in theory, but there are right and wrong ways to go about it…

Google Adsense has changed over the years but it remains as one of the most reliable and efficient ways to earn cash online.  It also offers a solid method of using advertisements to earn money.  Since most of the technical work is done by the company, website owners simply have to strategize carefully in order to make their sites compatible with high-paying Google ads.  But since much of the control over which ads are placed on your website is out of your hands, can you truly build an Adsense-ready website?  We look at the ways you can make this possible:

Build a site with Adsense in mind.

In a vast marketplace called the Internet, there are some happy accidents.  A few blessed site owners were just happily typing along, providing great content in their industry-specific sites and lo and behold, Google Adsense came a-calling.  Not only that, Google liked their sites so much it even placed high-value ads just to show its appreciation.

But these are happy accidents and if you rely on them, you have a 50-50 chance of succeeding.  If you truly want to build an Adsense website, you have to make sure your efforts don’t go unnoticed.

To build a site designed for Adsense, follow these steps:

1. Focus on providing content.

Not just plain content but good, high-quality content.  The kind that people will want to read, the kind that attracts other sites.  The key considerations here are relevancy and value.  Google Adsense is notorious for being picky about the websites it places ads with.

Putting up a website with some content will not cut it.  Your site has to offer consistently great content.  So polish up your copywriting skills, research your articles, post useful write-ups or if you haven’t got the time to do it, hire someone to provide content for your website. Your content doesn’t have to be written like an encyclopedia; a casual, conversational tone is fine. But… it DOES need to have good grammar, proper spelling and make sense.

Also, if you want to build an Adsense website, don’t build a directory site.  Google Adsense ads are rarely placed here.

2. Be in good company.

Google places value on the types of links your website has.  The better the links are, the higher your website’s value.  Think of it as getting the thumbs up sign from recognizable and respected people in your industry.  This, in spite of the fact that you yourself are not as famous as they are.  Once Google reviews your website for Adsense, they will find excellent links and let you run quality Adsense ads.

3. Put value in the structure of your website.

Other than content and links, a Google Adsense website is a well-constructed piece of work.  If your pages often hold up a sign that says, ‘Under Construction’, Google won’t bother with you.  Try to eliminate or at least minimize any broken links and build a website that is well-designed and easy to navigate.  A website that is easy to use is also attractive to visitors, who will otherwise leave in a huff if your website proves to be difficult and unfriendly.

4. Work with keywords that make more money.

Some keywords cost just 5 cents while others can cost from $10 to $20 per click.  These are the keywords you should go for.  Imagine having 1,000 visitors clicking on a 5-cent ad versus 500 clicking on a $20 ad and you have an idea of the value of using the right keywords and phrases on your site.

5. Follow Google Adsense policies.

Google has restrictions on certain issues, including sexual content, lewd language and materials that are unreliable.  Check out their policies to find out within what boundaries you’ll have to work.  If you don’t meet certain criteria, all your hard work will be ignored.

You also need to have a privacy policy that meets the Google AdSense requirements.

6. Optimize your website for the search engine factors.

The more relevant you are to a certain topic or industry, the higher your chances of getting noticed.  To build an Adsense website, focus on producing content and building links that increase the relevancy of your site.  This helps place you in high rankings for search engine results.  Produce content that will get you noticed and try to keep your offerings original.  Original content has a better chance of getting good reviews than re-published ones.

7. Draw in targeted traffic.

If your site is all about football and you want to increase your relevancy for Google Adsense ads, your best bet is to attract traffic that likes football.  They are more likely to click on your ads than people who aren’t interested in your topic.  Getting targeted traffic will help raise your revenues and help you earn more from your Adsense website.

So, follow these 7 tips for building Google AdSense sites that have quality, and before you know it, you’ll be positioned to start making money online.

Pop quiz time.  What does “HTML” stand for?  Don’t know that one?  How about this – what does “FTP” stand for? OK, one more chance.  Do you know how to work with either?

That brings me to the second reason why I love affiliate marketing…

You don’t need to build a website

What scares people more than creating a product is building a website!

• What in the world is HTML?  Or FTP?
• How much does the software cost?  And hosting?
• How do I upload files?
• Why isn’t it formatted correctly?
• Why don’t my graphics look like the ones the pros have?

If you are a complete beginner, it can be very difficult  (even using templates) to get an attractive website in place. And hiring a professional to do it fo ryou is out of the budget for most people.

But, with affiliate marketing, you don’t need to build a website.  You simply send visitors to someone else’s professionally designed site through your affiliate link.

SIDEBAR:  Just in case you’re interested, HTML stands  for “hypertext markup language” and is the coding used to build webpages.  FTP stands for “file transfer protocol” and is the process used for moving files from your computer to a website, or vice versa.

Really, in a manner of looking at it, you get to take advantage of the time and money invested by someone else to develop the site.  Think about it:  when you promote an affiliate link, it reflects firstly upon YOU.  You are the one who is advertising the link, recommending the product, sending people who have interacted with YOU to the website.

The professional site of someone else really represents you as the promoter, in the eye of those who have clicked through your link.

You get the benefits without the bother.

That’s why I love affiliate marketing.

AdSense is yet another way of making the most of your web site. This method is quite basic, furthermore, the rewards you could possibly gain counters the negative effects on your web site. It works by charging advertisers a service fee so their products can be advertised on websites. When people check out these products on your site, then you start generating your income. Though they make your site unattractive and a distraction to some people, they are seldom ignored.

3. Communicate with your customers

Just like other forms of business, affiliate marketing essentially needs customers to run successfully. Given that this type of marketing runs online, another way in which you can persuade prospective customers into buying your promoted products and/or services is through the use of e-mails. You can start emailing your customers and you may set up software which allows you to respond their queries immediately. When these people keep hearing from you, there’s a big probability of them finally taking notice of the products you are promoting.

In the end, you’ll find out that affiliate marketing is really simple to set up. You can’t make money online without your computer, Internet connection and your own web site. The rest, as what most people say, is history.

Many people find the idea of creating their own products to be an overwhelming and even paralyzing task. They say…

These are just a few of the valid reasons many people give when it comes to not creating their own products to sell.

Nobody wants to create new products all the time!

As good as you may be, you don’t know everything!  Why try to create a product on every topic imaginable in your  market when you can earn just as much money by simply promoting someone else’s really good offer as one of your profit streams?

In my ongoing series on starting an online home business, here is another set of tips for you to ponder and digest…

Business ownership can be hard, or at the very least, extremely challenging. This is especially true for people who do not have previous experience in the business or in the field that they are getting into. This is the reason why most experts advise going into businesses that make use of your hobbies, your talents or your interests. Not only will you find the business more fulfilling because you enjoy it, you will also find it easier to set up because after all, you already know so much about it.

If you know what you are about, it will be easier to set up the company. It will be faster to gather resources because you already know the people in the industry or in the field. The key is knowledge and readiness for the business. Below are some other tips that you might find useful when you are putting up your own business. Read on.

1. Know your industry.
It is easier to get into a business that is connected to the industry or field that you are into. This is because you already know people or contacts within that industry. Also, if you know the industry, you will be able to better understand how it works and how consumers in the field think, thereby anticipating product booms.

2. Know your product.
Before starting your business, know as much as you can about your product. Find out how to make it and how to distribute it. Ask people about the things that they look for in that particular product. Get to know the consumers and look at what makes them tick. You will be surprised at the wealth of knowledge that you will get when you ask them directly.

3. Get a good location.
This is true for people whose business involves retail and selling. Having a good location will mean better access for people and more chances to be known. Unless you have a truly innovative and great product or service that is newsworthy, your next bet is creating brand awareness is your location. Of course, if you’re starting an online business, then location is not really an issue, as the whole world wide web is your location!

4. Check your capital.
Some business require more capital than other business. This is especially important for people who do not have that much money to spare but want to start a business to secure their future. Check the business that you are going into. Make sure that you have enough money for the start up and again for the duration of the business. Remember that expenses will not only be there at the beginning but also as the business progresses.

You have heard it said before, “Positive Thinking Your Way To Success”. Or, “Think Positive, and You Will Succeed!”. Is it really that simple? Well, there is a little more to it than that, but Positive Thinking is certainly a great starting point.

Whether you realize it or not, your thoughts have a big impact on your life and especially your business. Learning to monitor and change your thoughts is a big task, but it is essential to making your dreams a reality. The way your mind works has a direct effect on the way your business and life develop.

How exactly does your thinking affect your life? Scientists are just beginning to figure out the intricate relationship between your mind and the results you get. There is a lot of evidence that proves that your results are directly determined by your thinking.

But monitoring your thoughts day in and day out can get overwhelming. It does not come naturally to people to censor their thoughts. If you have ever tried to do this, you know how difficult it can be to go through your day and evaluate what you are thinking about every moment.

Fortunately, there is a short cut to monitoring your thoughts. Your positive thoughts create positive results, but there’s a step between your thoughts and your results. That step is your feelings. Your thoughts create feelings, and your feelings create the actions that you take. Ultimately, your actions determine your results.

You can instantly know what your thoughts are by monitoring your feelings. The way you feel is related to what you are thinking about. If you are feeling bad, you are thinking of things that are taking you away from your main purpose. If you are feeling good, you are thinking things that are fostering your purpose.

Once you decide your purpose or your goal, your thoughts will either move you closer to your goal or away from it. You can tell what you are thinking, based on how you feel. If you feel discouraged, depressed or otherwise down, you know that your thoughts are not aligned with, or supporting your goals.

The easiest way to make sure you are thinking positively is to monitor your feelings. If you feel bad, steer your thoughts into a positive direction. Sometimes this is easier said than done. In times like that, read something uplifting. A success story, or some motivational quotes, to help you turn your thoughts positive.

There may be some effort required to keep you on track. Remember, every time you overcome a negative experience, your confidence grows, and you will feel better. The better you feel, the more supportive your thoughts are and the closer you are to making your dreams a reality.
